SINGAPORE, February 17, 2017, Friday – Singapore coffee start-up Medano Coffee is thrilled to announce that it has received today the Guinness World Records* title for the Most Expensive Coffee Pod.
Medano Coffee’s exclusive King Jantan Black Gold coffee pod contains the King Jantan coffee specially ground with 22K gold dust. Apart from being a really luxurious drink, the gold dust also imbues a richer flavour to the coffee.
Limited Edition King Jantan Black Gold Sets
The limited edition King Jantan Black Gold coffee pods are presented in a unique wooden box made by Roger&Sons, a Singapore woodworking studio that specialises in carpentry. Each box contains five King Jantan Black Gold pods, and only eight sets are available for sale at $388 each. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to charity.

The world record coincides with the launch of Medano Coffee’s new premium product line, the King Jantan. With a higher density than a normal coffee bean, the King Jantan peaberry is the highest grade of Mandheling coffee found in North Sumatra with floral, spicy, cocoa and caramel tasting notes.
